Day 1

Arrival to Tbilisi – City tour of Tbilisi and Mtskheta

The representative of the company Georgian Discovery Tours will greet the guests at the Airport and ensure their smooth transfer to the hotel. After a brief rest, the group will start their sightseeing tour of Tbilisi. Tbilisi is a beautiful, ancient, historical & cultural administrative capital of Georgia built by King Vakhtang Gorgasali in the 5th century.

During the city tour, we will participate in wine tasting in one of the specialized wine shops. After the tasting we head to Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia. Mtskheta was the capital of the eastern kingdom of Georgia – Iberia from the third century BC to the 5th century AD.

Today the city and its architectural monuments are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Lunch in the local restaurant in Mtskheta overlooking the ancient town (dishes from Georgian cuisine). Return to Tbilisi, recreation and leisure time for walks and purchasing of local souvenirs. In the evening a welcome dinner (banquet) in luxurious restaurant with live performance of folk music, pop stars and of course dancing until the late hours.
