Day 5

Gurjaani – Tbilisi

After the breakfast the group will head to Kvelatsminda. The only two-cupola church of Georgia, located in Gurjaani. The all Saint Church of St. Mary’s dormition , built in 8th-9th centuries. After visiting the temple, the group will return to the town and visit the traditional Kakhetian family guesthouse  “Wine House Gurjaani”.(www.winehousegurjaani.ge). In this family, the hospitable hosts will acquaint you with the ancient tradition of winemaking and culinary arts. After you will have a wine tasting.
A decent Georgian feast, a banquet, under the guidance of a toastmaster and accompanied by the Georgian songs, performed by folk ensemble awaits you by a cosy fireplace. Here you can buy homemade wine, “chacha” and “churchkhela”. Departure in the direction of Tbilisi International Airport.
